Lighting Technology
This series encapsulates aaline’s linear systems featuring high-performance LED technology, guaranteeing a consistent and reliable output that meets the highest standards. The Linear Series is purposefully designed to offer a diverse range of specification and customization possibilities, resulting in curated fixtures that meet particular project requirements.
Colour Temperature + CRI
-
Colour temperature is a way to describe the light appearance provided by a light bulb. Our fixtures are designed with consideration for the occupants of the space, providing a wide range of LED colour temperatures. Moreover, we offer colour tunable fixtures on DALI control systems to work with sensors and adjust based on end users circadian rhythm.
-
Colour Rendering Index [CRI] is the measurement of how well a light source can display true colours of objects when compared to natural light. The index is measured from 0-100, with a perfect 100 indicating that colours under the light source appear the same as they would under sunlight.
aaline products are available with CRI<80 and CRI 90+ which will be a good fit for various environments. For instance, having high CRI might be crucial for retail, office and kitchen spaces. However, it might be of less importance in hallways, bedrooms and open spaces with a lot of natural light.
-
At aaline, we offer dynamic white light fixtures that use multi-chip LED technology to create a smooth and comfortable transition from warm white (2700 K) to cool white (6500 K) light. Our dynamic white range is designed to support human-centric lighting by adapting to our natural circadian rhythm and enhancing our well-being in the built environment. Human-centric lighting is the art of curating lighting to mimic the natural daylight that drives our bodily functions. It can affect our mood, alertness, productivity, sleep quality, and health by synchronizing our biological clocks with our natural daily cycle.
We use integrated microcontrollers to customize and preset the desired CCT range. For example, if we only need a specific range of 2801 to 3753, we can program the system to produce only that range. Our tunable systems are compatible with various lighting control options such as 0-10 V dimmers, DALI 2.0, Lutron EcoSystems and other smart or dynamic control systems.
Tunable Whites, Maintaining the Circadian Rhythm: Lighting systems to be tuned throughout the day to follow these changes
Dim-To-Warm: A great retro-fit option for standard dimming with a higher range of control to dim from 3500K to 1800K with ELV, TRIAC, or 0-10V dimming.

Driver Configurations
aaline provides multiple driver configurations to best suit your project specifications and site conditions. Our design engineers will work with you to find the best solutions for your project and provide shop drawings accordingly.
suspended lighting
I | INTEGRATED
This is aaline’s standard installation option for most fixtures. Integrated systems are designed with an aluminum driver housing as part of the fixture. Programmable drivers are pre-commissioned and wired for the simplest installation.
Retrofit, renovation upgrades, commercial, institutional, high-end residential projects.
R | Remote
A clean look utilizing minimal hardware with the driver located in a remote location such as above the ceiling or in a utility closet. There is no need for a junction box or high voltage to the fixture.
Minimal hardware, low profile fixture, new-build construction, low-voltage wiring, high-end residential.
C | Powered canopy
Allows fixture to be powered locally with low-voltage wiring. The driver is located in a canopy on the ceiling connected to a junction plate.
Retrofit, renovation upgrades, commercial, institutional, high-end residential, low-voltage wiring
CONFERENCE ROOM SYSTEMS
Direct low-voltage cables from the integrated driver box located on top of the acoustic panels with high-voltage power to the junction box in the ceiling.

Options
aaline provides multiple mounting options which correspond with the type of driver configurations suitable for your project specifications. Our design engineers will work with you to find the best solutions for your project and provide shop drawings accordingly.
INTEGRATED DRIVERS
Suspension cable is independent from the junction box for the simplest installation.
Recommended for projects where local flexiblity is needed between the junction box location and fixture.
Retrofit, renovation upgrades, commercial, institutional and residential projects.
IN | Independent
LINEARS
JB | Junction Box support
Mounting installation option where site conditions will have the fixture centred based on the existing junction box.
Recommended for projects where the electrician has planned and accomodated the fixture location in advance based on aaline’s shop drawings.
New construction, High-performance, boosted fixtures, thin profile customization, IoT enables sensors, central controlled lighting systems.
Mounting installation option that accommodates sites with pre-installed T-Bar ceilings. The fixture is suspended direcly from the T-Bar using T-Bar clip hardware with the junction box above the ceiling panels. For 15/16” T-Bar Width.
Recommended for projects with existing suspended ceilings for a low-profile installation appearance.
Low profile fixture, suspended ceilings
TB | T-BAR SUPPORT
REMOTE DRIVERS
po | POWER OVER CABLE
Low voltage power over cable hardware is used to secure the fixture into the wall or ceiling.
Recommended for projects where early-stage site coordination is possible for a low profile appearance.
Minimal hardware, low profile fixture, new-build construction, low-voltage wiring, high-end residential.
TB | T-BAR SUPPORT
Mounting installation option that accomodates sites with pre-installed T-Bar ceilings. Power over cable hardware is used to install the remote driver above the T-Bars while securely hanging the fixture directly from the T-Bars utilzing T-Bar clip hardware.
Recommended for projects with existing suspended ceilings for a low-profile installation appearance.
Low profile fixture, suspended ceilings
RG | RIGID CONNECTION
Low voltage power over cable hardware is used to secure the fixture into the wall or ceiling with a rigid connection instead of suspension cables.
Recommended for projects where early-stage site coordination is possible for a low profile appearance.
Minimal hardware, low profile fixture, new-build construction, low-voltage wiring, high-end residential, rigid connection.
POWERED CANOPY DRIVERS
Mounting installation option where site conditions will have the fixture canopy centred based on the existing junction box. Allows the fixture to be powered locally with the driver located in the canopy.
Recommended for projects where the electrician has planned and accomodated the fixture location in advance based on aaline’s shop drawings.
New construction, High-performance, boosted fixtures, thin profile customization, IoT enables sensors, central controlled lighting systems.
JB | Junction box support
Mounting installation option that provides a rigid connection to the ceiling instead of suspension cables. Power cable is independent from the rigid connection points.
Recommended for projects where a sturdy connection is needed and local flexiblity is needed between the junction box location and fixture.
Retrofit, renovation upgrades, commercial, institutional and residential projects, rigid connection.

PENDANTS
Anti-Glare
Visor Types
Glare is a visual sensation of high-intensity light that causes viewers discomfort. aaline developed a proprietary carved-visor design to reduce glare in which the luminaire sits higher up in the fixture and allows the carved portion to reflect and diffuse light. This nearly eliminates the glare from most reasonable positions in the room.
unitied glare rating
The Unified Glare Rating [UGR] is a method for calculating glare intensity of a given light source. We are able to achieve a UGR<16 with our light fixtures, perfect for WELL-certified and LEED building requirements.
