FAQs

Why wood?

Sustainably harvested wood is a one of the most sustainable materials to use. Production of wood is Carbon Negative while production of aluminum or steel requires massive amounts of energy + CO2.

"1 cubic metre of new wood = 1 tonne of CO2 less in the atmosphere"

Being a Canadian company with access to one of the world's most impressive managed forests, we have invested in developing new processes and technologies to better use this renewable resource.

How are the pieces finished?

We use no chemical dyes, stains or colouring agents. Only a clear coat finish to protect the wood. We offer 3 types of finish:

  1. Standard Satin: is our tried and true 10 degree lacquer finish with great expectancy. (Solvent or Water Based)

  2. Danish Oil: an elegant ultra-matte finish for a tactile, natural experience.

  3. Eco-Coat: our propitiatory 0-VOC organic oil finish for the most natural feel.

How bright are your lights?

Very bright! We have systems that perform as high as 1800 lumens per foot (on select boosted models). Our standard system is pre-programmed for up to 625 lumens per foot delivered on the LW-EB engine, which is more than what you will need for your office, kitchen or bedroom.

Can I dim your lights?

100%. We use programmable high performance drivers. Based on your needs, we select the compatible driver for your unit so you can use 0-10V dimming, TRIAC/ ELV or Phase dimming. If you don't know what these things mean, send us a message and we will break it down for you.

Do you do custom lighting?

Yes! Most of our products are made to order and we can easily accommodate your special requests.

Although our system is tested with North American Standards, it is certified for use between 120-277Vac and can be installed internationally. For testing and certification, we can guide you through the process based on your region. Just send us a message!

Are your products tested and certified?

Yes, all our linear lighting has been tested and approved by The Canadian Standards Association (CSA). Our Canadian hardwood is selectively harvested and milled locally with cradle-to-cradle traceability. Any softwood used during production is certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC).

What is your lead time?
