Colour Temp & CRI

Colour Temperature (CCT)

Color temperature is a way to describe the light appearance provided by a light bulb. At aaline we provide a wide range of LED colour temperatures and our fixtures are designed with the well being of the occupants of the space in mind. Moreover, we offer colour tunable fixtures on DALI control systems to work with sensors and adjust based on end users circadian rhythm.

Here is a quick guide to the use of colour temperatures in residential, commercial and institutional settings:

CRI (Colour Rendering Index)

Color Rendering Index (CRI) is the measurement of how well a light source is able to display true colours of objects when compared to natural light. The index is measured from 0-100, with a perfect 100 indicating that colors under the light source appear the same as they would under sunlight.

aaline products are available with CRI<80 and CRI 90 which will be a good fit for various environments. For instance, having high CRI might be crucial for retail, office and kitchen spaces. However, it might be of less importance in hallways, bedrooms and open spaces with a lot of natural light.
