Acoustic Spatial Analysis Case Study

aaline™ Acoustic Spatial Analysis is a versatile system for understanding acoustic comfort in interior spaces. A multifaceted problem such as room acoustics demands a dynamic system of simulation and representation to calculate and convey the acoustic performance of a space, as well as the specific comfort levels of those occupying it. We have made it our goal to establish a method for transferring abstract acoustic metrics, such as reverberation-time, early decay time, and clarity; into effective acoustic design solutions, which specifically target our clients’ needs. In this analysis of Roy Thomson Hall, we put our system to the test, calculating the overall reverberation time in the space, as well as the average intensity level reaching each member of the audience.
